Lately I‘ve been contemplating the relationship I have with time. It’s not been a good one. Somehow I managed to make time my enemy and it’s morphed into this ugly monster ready to pounce on me, gobbling me up whole and yet at the same time eluding me, teasing me, exhausting me. I am so sick and tired of hearing myself say things like:
- I wish I had more time
- I don‘t have enough time
- Time is just flying by – this one with panic in my voice
So, I decided to have a serious conversation with time and take an honest, hard look at how I have managed or mismanaged this thing called time that has such a strong hold on most of us. Or am I the only one that is a slave to time? Really?
Well, I have had enough of this energy drain and want to shift things in my favour, yes please. An online conversation I had last week with a good friend was the last shove I needed. She stated, she wanted to explore „being more daring in how I organize my time“. Wonderful! Bold! Adventurous!
So, here we go, Dear One. I have made a decision: Starting right NOW, I will no longer wait until I have time to „let my hair down“. Because it likely won‘t happen very often. And let’s not talk about the guilt! (I‘ll leave that for another day.)
No. LETTING MY HAIR DOWN REGULARLY IS NOT A LUXURY FOR A SENSITIVE SOUL – IT IS A NON NEGOTIABLE AND A NECESSITY.
And Monday is the perfect day to start setting your priorities right. Yes, you first. And yes, you do have 5 minutes. And if you don‘t you seriously and immediately need to have a conversation with yourself if you value your life, your sanity, yourself.
Have a wonderful start into your new week, Lovely and let me know in the comments or on facebook what letting your hair down looks like for you. Let‘s shift into a more friendly and supportive relationship with time. Together we can do this.
